Sony (aka - the Big Cat)

Many of you know Sony (picture attached). He is our cat/dog/son who I've had for just shy of five years. He is the coolest cat ever in the history of the world and don't even try to argue it.

Funny Sony story of the day:
Sony isn't a morning cat. He likes to sleep in and appears very groggy if you try to wake him up. With Jeff's new job, he has to get up around 4:30am (yuck!) and Sony usually doesn't even flinch when Jeff gets out of bed. There is, however, one exception to this rule and one thing that will ALWAYS wake Sony up. Tuna fish.

This morning, Jeff decided to make a tuna fish sandwich to take to work with him. He pulls the can out of the pantry, gets the can opener out and proceeds to open the can. Within seconds of the can opener penetrating the top of the tuna can, Sony shoots STRAIGHT out of bed and makes a bee line for the kitchen.

Now, I wish I had a video of this because that would make it a much more funny story but picture this: An 18 pound, half-asleep cat running full force in to the kitchen. He jumps straight up on to the counter in extreme excitement but doesn't slow down quite enough to catch his footing. He goes flying off the other side of the counter and lands SQUARE on his BUTT on the kitchen floor.

At this point, Jeff is crying laughing at the poor cat who looks very, very confused while sitting on the floor. Needless to say, Sony got some tuna fish for breakfast and not only did Jeff's day start off on a hysterically funny note, but Sony crawled back in to bed a very happy cat (with possibly a very sore butt).
